Lecturer in Level 1 Foundation Learning (with a Vocational Specialism)

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary: £24,878 - £38,309 FTE per annum
Annual Leave: 42 days per annum (excluding bank holidays and up to 3 additional discretionary days over the Christmas/New Year period)
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lecturer in Foundation Learning to join our SEND and Foundation Learning department at Hull College. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a practitioner with a vocational specialism (e.g. Digital Skills, Hair & Beauty, Catering, Childcare) who is enthusiastic about engaging learners working at Entry Level and Level 1.
This role focuses on delivering inclusive and differentiated education to young people and adults who face multiple barriers to learning—including those with SEND and those who have become disengaged from mainstream education.
As a key member of our inclusive education team, you will bring innovation, care, and practical teaching approaches to help our students thrive—academically, personally, and vocationally.

You’ll be a dedicated educator who believes in second chances and inclusive learning. You will have a subject specialism relevant to a vocational area and experience in teaching young people and/or adults with SEND and those who may be disaffected or have experienced educational disadvantage.
